Gary De Silva suspects his wife, Sarah, is cheating on him, and turns to Vincent Gallagher for help. Vincent and Beth follow Sarah to a club and see her with another man. Vincent calls him to break the news, sending Gary into a frenzy.

Edward Harper asks Vincent to investigate the death of his son, who was fatally knifed in a nightclub. The prime suspect is Ian’s friend, James O’Connor, son of the club owner, but the police are unable to touch him due to a lack of evidence. The investigating officer on the case is his ex-partner's new love, DCI David Driscoll.

Lottery winner, Sheena Bennett has asked Vincent to investigate the mysterious death of fellow syndicate member Andrea Kendall. Sheena is concerned that suspicion is falling upon her brother Malcolm who suffers from a personality disorder and was seen following Andrea shortly before she died.
